MySQL - New and Improved

Hi all,

Do you guys use MySQL to manage your Web sites?   If you don’t know what I’m talking about, MySQL is the database software that supports the majority of applications and cool stuff on the Web.  Here at FatCow, you’ll use it for your InstallCentrall apps such as a Wordpress blog.  mysql

Like FileManager,  our previous MySQL managment tool left a lot to be desired.  The interface was outdated,  not easy to use and overall pretty ugly. We gave it a big time face lift as well as added a cool new code generator to make it even easier to connect to our servers, which is good for newbies and experts alike.

This new release is in Beta as we work out the final kinks.  Please check it out. In the lower left-hand corner, we’ve placed a link to a survey.  After you try it out, please fill out the survey and let us know what you think.  I’ll bet you’ll like it.

Thanks again for checking out the Moo’s News.

Signing off,

Eric

Is this the reason that MySQL services have been extremely slow lately?

No. The MySQL management interface is separate from the actual server performance. We are in the process of beefing up the MySQL services pool to resolve the slowness problem that some of our customers are receiving. That issue should be resolved shortly.

    Hi Joshua,

The MySQL slowness issue should be resolved. We’ve put in a a lot more hardware to help with the issue.
