New File Manager

Hey everyone,

Have you checked out the new FileManager? It’s actually pretty cool.  The previous FileManager was kind of clunky (that’s a technical term), but we think you’ll like this one.  It is still in beta mode so there may be a couple of minor bugs in it, but overall we find it to be a huge improvement.

Check out our new FileManager

Some key improvements:

  • Multiple file uploads
  • Cool, new interface
  • Embedded HTML Editor
  • Nice directory structure

We pushed this live last week and expect it to remain in Beta mode for a few more weeks.  The old FileManager is still available in case you have any issues with the newest version.

Try it out when you have a second. I think you’ll like it. When you’re done, please fill out the survey and tell us what you think. The more feedback we receive the most improvements we’ll make.

I’ll be posting again shortly about our new MySQL manager. It’s pretty cool too.

Thanks again and I hope you have a great weekend!

Eric

Just switched this web site to Fat Cow, so I am new to your service. I have found the file manager easy to work with compared to what I had on my previous host. Thanks.

I have another website hosted by . Their cpanel allows drag and drop of the sections just like wordpress dashboard, and their Filemanager allows file drag and drop as well. Moreover, they can extract zipped files directly using the filemanager. The filemanager and the ‘updated phpmyadmin’ are the reasons that I am still using . If possible, I really wish FatCow can integrate these to the cpanel.

    Hey there,

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I agree with you on the drag and drop. In fact, we are designing a way to make that happen but it could be a few months before it happens. I’m not 100% sure on the zip extract functionality but am looking into it.
